About Lothian Homes

Diane Graham founded Lothian Homes in 2011. Diane has lived and worked locally for over 30 years. She knew that there was a need locally for more independent, customer focused Agency. An Agency with experience, honesty, integrity, who will provide a customer focused service and utilise all the advantages of today’s technology. She’s aware that customers don’t just want good customer service, they also want value for money with fixed fees and no hidden costs.

We will aim to make the experience of selling / renting property as stress free as possible, and we believe the core values of service and personal attention to be vital to our success. We offer a face to face service; we recognize that our customers lead busy lives and want to do business on a more personal level, and we hope we will be able to help you. We will be limiting the number of properties each staff member manages to ensure that all areas of the service are fully personalised.

This is a small, independent, local based business which offers all the benefits and services of a traditional High Street agency. Our website is our 'shop front' and the administration side of the business is operated from a private office.

This enables us to offer competitive fixed rates with absolutely no compromise on our service standards - quite the contrary, we are dedicated to providing a first class personal service, utilising technology to enhance communications yet retaining the old fashioned values of honesty, integrity, trust and attention to detail.


Meet Our Team

Diane

DIANE GRAHAM

Diane started her housing career back in 1995 with West Lothian Council. She has been a private landlord since 1992. Over her 20+ years’ experience, Diane has progressed into management working for some well-known housing projects with Cyrenians, Crisis UK and West Lothian Council working within private sector services. She is very experienced in all aspects of lettings, property management, repairs, rent collections, housing legislation and housing benefits. Having built up a growing reputation for delivering a high standard of customer service. Diane built her business on reputation and delivers a service to ensure Lothian Homes receives a lot of work through personal recommendations.


Collette

COLLETTE WELSH

Collette has been working in Lothian Homes since September 2012. She has done intensive training with Diane over the initial few years. She has passed her CIH Level 3 - Letting & Managing Residential Property. Part of this qualification is to attain ongoing CPD training to ensure her knowledge is kept up to date and now has incorporated this into her own to day to day working practice and to help the other agents / assistants. She is working towards her Level 6 Award in Sale of Residential Property qualification.

Collette is one of our agents covering most of the West Lothian properties. She makes sure that the correct customers are matched into the right home to make it stress free process. She was our lead person dealing with the changes in Data Protection and the effects on our business. She attended all the required training to ensure we met the requirements in time for implementation dates and keeps us up to date with any legal requirements.


Isla Maree

ISLA MAREE DEARY

Isla Maree has been working for Lothian Homes since May 2013. She has done intensive training with Diane & Collette over the initial few years. Part of this qualification is to attain ongoing CPD training to ensure her knowledge is kept up to date and now has incorporated it into her own to day to day working practice and to help the other agents / assistants. She is working towards her Level 6 Award in Sale of Residential Property qualification.

Isla Maree is one of our Agents covering mainly all our Edinburgh properties. She loves to make sure all her tenants are in a property that they are likely to stay long term to make it into their home. She has been the Agent tasked to be our expert on Universal Credits so she can look at the business implications and ensure all other staff know the effects on tenants' benefits going forward to ensure as easy a transition as possible from the current benefits system.


Samantha

SAMANTHA FRASER

Samantha joined the Lothian Homes in January 2017. She started off as an assistant then was given the opportunity to become an agent. Samantha was given extensive training from Diane, Collette and Isla which helped her achieve her letting agent qualification CIH Level 3 - Letting & Managing Residential Property. She is working towards her Level 6 Award in Sale of Residential Property qualification.

Samantha is responsible to ensure all other staff keeps their CPD training up to date and books all training courses to make sure staff are up to date with legal requirements that may affect the business. Samantha has personally private rented for over 5 years therefore she has a great understanding from a tenant's point of view as well as an agent's view. Samantha always provides a professional and friendly service to all customers.


Danni

DANNI WATSON

Danni has been with Lothian Homes since August 2018. Previously working in administrative roles Danni fitted in well as our assistant. As she has only been in the business for a short period of time, she is still learning but is enjoying developing her knowledge of the letting / selling industry. As well as being trained by our agents Danni is also working towards her SVQ Level 3 Business administration. Danni looks forward to continuing to build relationships with our customers as she is normally the first person you will speak to when contacting Lothian Home. She is responsible for keeping all our administration processes up to date and ensures the agents have all required initial information.
